Sounds normal to me. What are your EGTs when the turbo lights up. I know with my 62 when it lights up my EGTs go down but I'm running stick injectors. 1200 ain't that bad its getting in the 1500 or more range and staying there is what hurts the turbo. Look over your boots make sure you don't have a leak. But IMO everything sounds normal.

To me the EGTs sound normal for your set up. I would buy a rebuild kit for the turbo get it all sealed up good. Keep in mind if your running stock intercooler boots with that turbo you might bust one. It happened to me I put on BD boots. Your only hitting 40 psi? With your set up you should be pushing 50 if you have head studs. Mine is setup for 43 psi haven't hit it yet but when I but new injectors it will be no problem. With stock injectors I can hit 38 psi with my current setup. The weather can affect your boost as well on cold days it will build more boost than normal on hot days no as much.
