I thought about the sump option, I don't know much about it or the cost. My lift pump is outside the tank right under my driver door, I'll have to look at it closer to see what brand it is, but either way I will be getting a new draw straw...

I just ordered the sump for mine yesterday. Had the draw straw that worked ok for about 2 yrs. Now I'm running out of fuel at 3/8 tank. I figured the sump was the way to go.

I am not sure on which draw straw, its either the DSV or the DSI, on Vulcan's website it says the DSV is for intank upgraded pumps, when i did mine i had an intank module with the pump to put in so i got the DSV. Give Vulcan a call before you order it and talk to them, they were really helpful when i was trying to figure out the same thing

Default 1996 Chevy 6.5l

My truck dies on me every time it gets down around 1/4 tank. I put a brand new lift pump in it. And it still does it. I've also noticed that there is pressure behind the fuel cap every time I open it. I've never noticed this on dodge or ford diesels so I'm wondering if I got something wrong inside my tank
