I've made some impressive numbers on a vp and while there is a good happy median there, if you push out of that median power wise the truck isn't a daily driver. Between providing enough air for egt control, while controlling smoke and long spool up times, you find yourself looking for something that you can actually drive and enjoy. I ran a set of mach 6's , that's almost to much to daily drive with a big charger and towing was out of the question with a single. Secondly, drivetrain issues will quickly appear, no matter how much you spend the bottom line is the drivetrain was never designed for the added power levels.
The reality is, unless you have a fortune, big power probably isn't for you. If you feel it is, give it a few years and thousands of dollars and tell me you feel the same.
However if a reasonable setup, with fuel and air delivery tailored to one another, and build the truck with common sense you will find a truck that's not smoking the road up all the time, can pull something more than a pushmower and isn't on the wrong end of the shop/drive ratio.
If you disagree I'll have to title you moron, newbie or possibly under the age of 20.

Rotfl. It will seem like its happening for a while, then you will find its either a dedicated competition truck, or your trying to give it away because its a ragged out truck with sloppy drivetrain.

If you tow much I wouldn't go over 100hp injector on a VP44 truck with a stock Turbo.

im not sure about Ebbtide, but i am thinking of upgrading the turbo as well...a little more boost and to keep the egt's down. i just dont wanna have to buy multiple sets if i can help it. It is just a matter of time and getting the cash past my wife to hop up a truck that she hates.

i would go with a set of 100-150 hp injectors. anything bigger and you would need a larger turbo.

Depends on the turbo and how you use your truck.

A good 150 horse can get right at 450-500 to the tires and works great with a 62 or 64.
