Default Torque converter just stopped locking

truck in question is the one in my sig line. I have had it for 16 days now. The transmission has shifted perfect the whole time so far. Saturday, I replaced the fuel filter and removed the silencer ring. I drove the truck right after and now the TC wont lock. Is there something in those 2 areas that I could have bumped, or knocked loose to cause this? I dont see anything out of place, but I am new to Cummins/diesel. It had been working fine for the last 2 weeks.

I tryed flooring to getting up to speed fast then easing off to almost no throttle, and then slowly speeding up, but it just wont lock. Before if I drove it easy it would lock around 41-43mph and driving kinda hard but not floored at would lock around 50-55 mph.

Thanks for reading!!

Mine did this right before it finally would not shift into OD. The transmission was toast.

Dont say that... please dont say that....

The transmission looks like it was rebuilt recently, although I dont have proof. The transmission looks cleaner than everything else under there.

It could possible be just the Converter or a solenoid.

I found this on how to test the electical system. My LP is bad, so I wont be able to try it till I get the new pump in.

Mine did the exact same thing and tranny was DONE, I know that sucks to hear but just being honest. That might now be the problem but it could be a possibility

I know.. I know.. I am just praying its not done. I was going to run my multimeter over the electronics today, but I forgot it at home.. I did pull the dip stick and it was a mix of dark red with a brown tint to it. If the transmission was toast, I would think the fluid would be black. Im hoping I didn't fawk up and screw myself in not holding out for a manual... Oh well.. its mine and im going to keep at it...

Mine would not lock one time when I was pulling the TT. I have a LU switch, it was on and was pulling a bit of a grade when I suddenly realized the convertor had unlocked and the trans temp was really climbing. I pulled over as soon as I could and let it cool down. After cooling down I tried again and it would lock and has ever since. Never did figure out why it wouldn't lock even with the switch but somehow it had to have lost the grounding for lockup.

This happened to me too. It was my tq converter. Had it replaced, but since I had tranny off I had that rebuilt too, been 4 years and no issues. I have an aftermarket valve body I'm throwing on it when I get home from south Korea. I know u don't want to hear it but it sounds like a torque converter bud.
