Ok what do you guys think this is...

Every once and a while when I go to unlock my truck either using the actual key or the FOB it sets off a three beep alarm. What does this mean? I've read that maybe the key FOB's battery is dying and that's what causes it? I haven't replaced it yet but I'm curious to see if anyone else has had this problem?
