On another note before coming back with receipts the insurance offered 12260 and some change for my truck. I wasn't expecting more than 9. I think I may just take it. If the frame is tweaked then it could be more trouble than its worth sadly. And considering I haven't had a change to even try driving it any small bit it could more issues than cosmetic and front end. I hate to give up my baby but I think maybe its time to part. Considering they are offering more than 5000 over blue book I think I should take it.
I would push it because they always have a 2nd offer. Never lay down on the first offer. I would see what buy back truly is because you can probably part it out for more if you don't fix it. 5spds are popular. miles are low you would have enough money left to put away for a rainy day

Trying to part out around here is hit or miss. Buy back would be right around 4000. Then parting it out to get that back is alot of time I don't have. I have no vehicle to get to work or anything

you can buy it back and get a cheap daily driver while you fix up or part out the truck

I already signed off the truck. Insurance agreed to let me pull the chip and my brand new mirrors, they didn't factor those into the truck value but everything else they did.

I'm looking at two 01s one with a slights beefed auto and another with a 6 speed that's a 2wd. I went ti look at the first 01 Monday and the guy got weird near the end of discussion and raised the price 400 dollars after I drove it, the other the seems really good And the guy has full service records since he's owned it so I may go for it if he turns out legit when I go look

Thats good, In my experience when I bought my first truck it was a 2wd 99 3500. Never thought I would need 4wd. I got proved wrong on several occasions. The motor weighs so much over the front wheels and would get stuck to easily for my taste or needs. Just food for thought. Good luck with what ever you purchase.

Well I went and test drove the 01 2wd yesterday, ended up buying it today! Truck was a steal at 2500 under book. Truck is in awesome shape, all service records available from the last 50 thousand miles, has 5 inch mbrp exhaust, 6 speed manual, edge ez, hid lights, bed liner, bed liner on lower half of truck, bed cover, and new tires. Now to start ordering an intake, lift pump and send in my edge to be adapted to 01.

I'll post pictures tomorrow of the truck and since I haven't yet I'll post the ones from the wreck.
