vp dead need some advice

Default vp dead need some advice
I am fixin to have to replace my vp-44 i am going to put a raptor 100 on at the same time. If i put + 40 hp inj in it will i be ok with a stock pump or will i need a ho pump?

Your good to 200hp injectors with a stock VP. The SO (auto) pump can run larger injectors compared to the HO (manual) pump, but only by 50hp I believe.

HO pump is not on all manual trucks, believe they started in 01. Before that was SO

Sorry raw not trying to call you out wrong, just trying to be specific.

Default vp dead need some advice
I thought the HO pump only came with the HO motor and 6 speed tranny in 2001-2004? Not sure on the last year

They are found in the 01-02 HO motors.

That's right, my mistake. The HO came on trucks with the 6 speed manual, 5 speed and Auto got the SO.

True SO is the way for smooth idle and great power to 500-600 range... If your just dieing to put a HO on it. Wait and save your penny's then p pump it
