Default Transmission Filter & Fluid Change

I know I read this on here somewhere before but i cant seem to find it. I'm going to change fluid and filter in the very near future. Any suggestions on brand of fluid and filter? also, how can you truly "flush" an automatic transmission at home? Overall, what is the best way to go about this?

The fluid is atf+4.You can get this at any store pep boy's,advance..etc.

I get the filter and fluid from dodge because it is cheaper for me commercial account.

To flush it at home. The way I do a flush is that I drop the pan replace the filter, clean the pan, replace the pan fill the trans up with ATF+4 then I take the line from the trans cooler to the transmission and pull it apart at the quick fitting by the cooler and have someone start the engine put it in "N" and watch the dirty fuild pour out into and pan. Refill transmission and repart until clean fluid is present. This flushes out the converter and VB.

NOTE: with a aftermarket converter some put a drain in them to change the fluid.

YOU WANT TO CHECK THE FLUID WHEN IT IS RUNNING AT OPERATAING TEMP AND IN "N"

You might want to adjust the bands also. I would do it.

94+ Ram AT band adjustment

Maybe a deeper trans pan.

that was going to be my next question. if thats possible to do without taking to a transmission shop. i know when my friend had his valve body, shafts, and converter replaced, the guy told him his stock parts werent hurt, (90k miles same truck as mine) the bands were just out of adjustment and felt like he had a slip. Is it possible to get
+100k miles by keeping the bands adjusted, fluid full, and staying under 400hp?
