Ok I have a 2000 dodge with 24 valve wat is the easiest way to get it to throw black smoke

easy mods... in this order,

Lift pump Fass or Airdog

gauges boost, pyro, fuel pressure

some kind of tuner

lots use the edge comp box, I personally use the quadzilla adrenaline works great for me

Oh and when you smoke that stock trans a good clutch or well built trans will be in order .

what do you do with the truck now.. tow? daily drive?

Yeah its a 2wd auto and is it easy to do a six speed conversion

For the most part, I agree. I would put Exhaust and intake in between the Gauges and Tuner. An engine is an air pump, the better it breathes the better it performs.
