Default 1999 wont start in warm weather??

A friend is having a wierd issue with his truck so I thought I'd post a question about it. This is a stock '99 3/4 ton cummins, starts just fine if its cold enough for the grid heater to cycle but as soon as it warms up or is just plain hot outside.......no start, cranks over fine just no fuel.

The dodge dealer is blaming the ECM and they could very well be right but to me this problem screams simple problem, bad ground, undervolt to the VP, fuel draining out of the VP.

Sounds kinda like this,

Thanks

Generally hard starts when warm are caused by a cracked diaphragm in the VP44. Hope its something else though.

Yea for what it is the EZ is a good box, definently helps the lower rpm's alot, doesnt smoke much but it will a little if you try. Just a trick that I do with the edge boxes like the EZ if you leave the mapp sensor unplugged the edge fuels at low boost harder yet, a little more grunt and smoke.

Looks like there might be bad news for my buddy huh.
