hey guys, i was wondering if anyone has attempted making there tow mirrors power pop up/down for towing. so you dont have to walk around and flip them up. ive never taken mine apart, but was just wondering if its possible to make work.

very small electric motors on the mirror where the swivel is to turn them up is what i'd think. would require lots of trail and error i'd guess to get it working right and making it look factory and not pieced together.

 

yeah im not gonna rip my mirrors apart unless theres a way to do it that works, and are reliable.

 

i'd give you props to figure it out but i dont imagine its a simple backyard mechanic one day operation.

just seems like it'd be very complicated to get working right and still have the mirrors look original.

 

Couldn't u just put power 3rd gen mirrors on it?

He's not talking about the glass being powered for movement, but the entire mirror to flip up to the tow position.
