Default A/C stuck in defrost

So today I left my truck running at work to cool off when I started it it ran fine in the dash vents. After I got back in it was coming out the defrost. I turned the ac off and back on and it came out the Dash vents then went straight to defrost... I checked the vac lines from the pump to where it goes in to the cab and it all looked good. Im not sure whats wrong but its got me pissed its hot out there! there is one other vac line thats going to the front drivers side but I dont know what that is. Any help would be great. Also is there any way to tell if my vac pump it dead? other than the ac. Thanks so much

Check the vacuum servo and make sure it's operating the damper,if the servo is shifting then the damper has came loose or it's broken internally......not a pleasant fix!

both of those are vacuum controlled so my guess is check your vacuum lines first

I'm going to check all my connections and hoses tonight it's kinda pissing me off > if it's the pump I'll prob find a small dc powered pump to run when the key is on instead of pulling the power steering and vac pump off

So I'm going to check all my lines tomorrow after work. I looked online and a new pump is 400+ bucks!!!!! I looked online and I can get a 2003-2006 vac pump that is elec for 150... If I wire it to come on with the motor will that work? It says it will hold 17psi and turn on at 11psi. That sound like a good idea?
