Long story short, the engine in my 99 is toast, I have a 2001 245HP HO engine to put in its place. My 99 system requires the crank position sensor, the 01 does not have the sensor nor the tone ring on the crank shaft.

Is there any way to get the 01 motor to work in the 99?

I'm taking the 01 back and getting a 99 that just came available... takes care of all the "maybe" issues.
