[IMG][/IMG]tomorrow i pick my truck up. picked up a 99 ex cab long bed 4x4. has 190,000 on it and its bone stock. auto. truck is very clean no rust, doesnt leak, everything is tight.i picked it up for $5800. and i belive that is a steal of a deal. wanna know what you guys thing about it! and what should i do first? exhaust chips ect... i am new to the cummins world. i have only had powerstrokes in the past so i dont know all the tricks and best combos. any input helps. thanks aot

 

Airdog or Fass along with Fuel Psi gauge. The rest is up to you. a 99 Auto so it has Hx35 which is alot better than the Hy35.

 

Fuel system, Airdog or Fass, the factory lift pumps on these trucks really isn't adequate for a stock truck let alone a modded truck. Gauges of some sort would also be a good idea, you just have to decide between mechanical and maybe a chip that includes them, such as the Edge, or the Adrenaline. Intake/exhaust are also a good idea, but deffinately take care of the fuel system first. Congrats on the great buy

 

Yea the fuel system is a must! And has the vp been replaced in it yet?

get a fass a 4" turbo back mechanical gauges with fuel pressure and an edge comp or comp hot aka drag comp then save for a built trans.

 

Gauges, fuel system upgrade, tranny. At 190k miles (unless its been replaced already) my bets would be that the vp wont be healthy to much longer.
