hey guys im looking to get a aftermarket turbo on my 98.5 cummins. my mods are bd 150 horse injector nozzles,superchip,afe stage 2 intake,airdog fuel system,4in turbo back to 8in stack,gauages. im lookin for somthing where i dont have to do the head studs i was thinking like a 64mm? oh im also lookin for that wicked whistle on the outside any ideas? so whats the best one for that?

 

well a 62/65/12 will give you what i think you're looking for, but studs are a very cheap investment when considering you're willing to drop at least $1000 for a decent turbo

 

go with an II silver 62 they are awesome turbos. but you need a turbo with a 14 cm housing a 12 cm housing is too small if you have 150 injectors. with a small housing your egts will be high at wot. 62/74/14 is what you need or something similar. you could get away with a bd super B for less cost but i would get one that would give you some room to play with on hp so if you go more agressive you dont have to get a new turbo cause what you have is maxed out.

 

That silver ll is that made by industrial injection? And does that thing sound pretty good on the outside of the truck? I was lookin at htt turbos but there is so many to choose from I do want that loud whistle on the outside it sounds awesome. What if I go with a 64mm do I have enough fuel?
