Default Problem Truck

Boy have I got a good one here boys. My parents have been remodeling and a guy working on their house has a '99 dodge. well after seeing my trucks, he started telling me about the problems he was having with his, so I hooked up the smarty and man does he have a laundy list of problems.

P0216-Bye Bye mister pump

P0382-Intake heater relay, easy enough

P1693-as always

P0234-Boost limit exceeded, guess he's been driving the hell out of it

P1694-No Bus message received from ECM, thats the only one kinda got me scratching my head, because just to see what it would do I tried to load my smarty into it, at the end of the programing I get an "error 14 program aborted" but my smarty is now vin locked to his truck and I cant get it out by returning to stock, or anything. I've sent Bob Wagner an email, but in the mean time, any ideas?

I think 1694 means the electronics in the Pump are fried. The Bus is another way of controlling fueling.

Sounds like he is in need of a new VP44. As for the intake heater, double check the connections at the relay. I bet one of the connectors just popped off. Fairly common.

Well talked to Bob and he says he has seen the error 14 twice before, and there is nothing that can be done. But he is going to put a new board in it at no cost, so Bob gets a thumbs up from me for A+ customer service. Truck had 2psi fuel pressure at the VP, so let the guy know he needed an LP and IP, if he wants me to get it for him I will be contacting sponsors.
