Default 5 speed trans help

I an looking a putting nv4500 or nv5600 trans in to my 2001 cummins. i need to get rid of the auto. i have been looking around for parts and they are hard to hind. i have beed also been looking for a doner truck to use. i found a 2004 2500 4x4 with a gas motor and was told that it was the same trans. does any know how much of the parts i can reuse. i know the body is different but will the peddles work? Also the master and the slave will they work? Will the in put and out put shafts be the same? Any help that you can give would help. thanks for your time.

the gas tranny will be different spline counts on both input and output and also feature smaller diameter shafts, dont even try it. The bell housings are different as well. plus the gas clutch will never handle the torque of a cummins. Best bet is to get a wrecked diesel or browse ebay, craigslist and even here, you will need the bell housing, pedals, slave cylinder, shifter, tranny, flywheel and a new clutch. youre looking at 2500-3500 in this swap depending on where you can find parts
