Default thought I had a spare turbo...

I have a spare hx 35, but, when I went to throw a rebuild at it, I notice a couple of small fractures stemming from the inside of the exhaust housing. I am just looking for a bit of solid advice, on what I should do next, keeping in mind that I am on a budget, and my running turbo right now has some pretty serious shaft play in it. I think I am going to do just as good right now by finding a replacement hx35 housing, but I am at a loss as the where to find one...

put the one off yours on it. rebuild it and when it gets to that step just swap them out and install the rebuilt one!

I see what you are all saying, but maybe I want to put together something later like a compound... something to start with an hx35 and close with something like a k31, or even something really huge like an M24... tig welding isn't an option as the cracks are on the inside of the turbine wheel housing itself, and there are no gaurantees that the one I am running right now is not suffering the same problem. I fear this, because of the fact that I have my wastegate closed off completely, I am struggling to get all of 20 psi boost. I think I want to have a complete turbo to swap out in place of what I have right now, so I have a couple hour project, and will not end up with one of those hidden variable projects.

all exhaust housings are going to be cracked, it just depends on the severity of if it will cause issues or not. the best way to find out is to swap it out and see if the cracked housing will work or not.

and BTW don't block the wastegete on the new one, that just makes the air hotter and the EGT's hotter and will cause the cracks to become a problem sooner than later.
