I'm having a problem with my starter. Took it down had it tested they said it was bad. I got a new one from napa, now I cant get it to fit.I looked it up its the right part number.

I can get the holes to match up but it wont fit flush up against the housing. Could it be something with the fly wheel or do I need some kind of shims?? I have no idea?????

 

Place them side by side to see if there is a difference.
