a friend of mine has a 02 24v has 130, on it has a egde comp ddps 120hp injetors its happend 2 times he will be driving with cruse on and then the truck will just idle only no mater what you do but if you shut the truck of for 5 min and then everything is normal again its only happened twice the time he has owned the truck he bought it new had on new vp 44 put on it dont know when but after that is when it strated to have this problem any help would be great thanks for taking the time to read and reply

 

Check the throttle position sensor,fairly common 300.00

 

Or a vaccum line could be coming loose....

 

Dont know much about the 24v what vaccum line and if that is what is doing it why would the truck go back to normal after you shut it off i do thank you for your imput thanks just need some clarification on what your are talking and to chadcycle 2500 thanks is there and way to test and see if the tps when the truck atcs up then test if the voltage had a dead spot is bad or could it just be wires? thanks for all the help both of you
