A friends truck died the other day. He left out of his driveway and when the truck shifted gears (auto) it cut off and will not start back. Code on the dash is p1693. Took injection pump off and had the codes pulled on it and no codes. They wanted $150 to put it on the bench and test it and if they had to rebuid it it would be 1200. I can get the same pump for $1050. Was wandering if the electronics could have gone bad. I have a Hot Rod pump that the shaft seized up on but the electronics are still good. Can I put the electronics for the hot rod pump on the stock pump? or should i look for a different problem or replace the whole pump
