New clutch slipping

Brand new southbend ceramic metalic clutch slipping . Is this normal for a period of time . I never heard of a break in for a clutch

i just installed a cer/kev valair clutch and it slipped a little till it bedded in (about 200 miles) and now she slips no more.

and i was told this is normal.

Thanks . Got my fingers crossed . The 100 hp nozzles slipped the old clutch so I haven't even gotten to feel the new power yet
