Help truck died and wont start

It has been replaced as I saw the yellow tag on elctro conection. Have seen the nut on shaft come lose and gear not turn pump. Check to see if you are getting fuel to your injection nosels when cranking. If no replace that POS VP44.

Only 3 things to run Fuel, Air, Compression. If it won't run your missing one of these. Hope that helps gotta go.

Darn, it really sounds like it wants to go! The fuel pressure bouncing around seems a little weird. I'm thinking lift pump at this point. Even if it makes 22 psi when it is running, doesn't mean it has the flow to keep that pressure when there is fuel demand. Pumps don't make pressure, they create flow. restriction to flow makes pressure.

if it turns out to be the lift pump how hard is it to replace it with AIR DOG FUEL/AIR SYSTEM

AirDog's and FASS fuel systems are pretty easy to install, so I think. Pulling the bed of the truck makes it easier if you need to put a draw straw in. Something like a Raptor is even easier, as I believe they just mount to the frame and have no filters.
Here is a link to a thread, that has a link to a pdf of AirDog install instructions.

So we have determined that he has FP @ the IP.
Next thing to do is crack some injector lines at the head and see if you are getting fuel there.
Crack loose 3 lines and crank the engine, only crank for about 20-30 seconds then let the starter cool for a minute of so. If it starts quickly tighten up the lines.
Is it throwing the CEL? If so what are the codes?

I cracked open some injector lines and let it try to crank for 20 sec didnt get any fuel from them i also before that loosened the banjo bolt for the fuel supply line and bumped the starter and it was spraying hard out of there so i guess it is going to be the vp44?
