dead pedal
on my 01 2500 dodge, im gettin dead pedal then it comes back and the check engine light comes on. i checked the code, it said something about the APPS. do i need a new sensor or is there an easy fix. if i do need a new one, the dealer here is charging 550 bucks for what they have. none of the other parts stores had anything. thanks for the help
you can also get one from Blue Chip Diesel fror 175.00 its the electronic piece that actually goes bad. The stealership sells you the whole bellcrank assembly at like you said 500.00 plus.also like dr.rvil said the timbo is an option as well
ill have to check the codes again, i get 2 of them every time i hook up my tuner. i know the one comes up everytime and it isnt anything, and then the other one had something to do with the apps. i have reset it, and it works for a while and then goes back to this. it did it 2 times in less then 3 minutes the other afternoon before my first post, but then i drove for 7 hours after that and had no problem. ill have to wait for my next paycheck to do anything but the 175 is alot better then 550. i just bought a HK USP 45 so im a little short on money. but thanks guys i really appreciate the help
i have the same dead pedle. and i have no programer or code reader. but i did hear of some other solutions. like disconecting the batts and pushing the pedal to the flore slow. but cant find it. and there is some other thing about the odometer but cant find that either.
my codes are 0500,0460,0121,0562,0236. my fuel gauge isn't working and my ABS light is on so a couple of the codes is prolly cause of that. when the pedal goes dead i have to shut the truck off then back on and it will work fine for awhile.
