P0121 is a TPS code. That can cause dead pedal.

dead pedal is to alert you to check out your system. if you have a p0121 you will want to get a new TPS

p1693 is a companion code. if you scan it there should be another code in there.

do you have a programer on the truck of any kind?

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

i was told if you unhook both batteries for at least an half hour then hook them back up and turn the key on slowly press pedal to floor then slowly back up and then turn the key off that this would re set your apps and should take care of dead pedal problem unless something is wrong with your vp44....?

If you are not prepared to buy a code reader and install a fuel pressure guage - its time to sell the truck. Both items are as important as the key that starts the truck.
