Default Wastegate plugging

Hey guys. I recently plugged the wastegate on my 2002 24v. I'm making 27# of boost now. I have since gotten mixed feedback on whether it's a good idea or not. I'm just looking for more input. Thanks! I love the site so far!

I think it is a good thing.

If you are putting more air in than is required for the fuel to burn, it is extra strain on parts. Will it really reduce the life of your engine and turbo? Probably nothing that you will notice. I have done it to both the HY35 i had, and the HX35 I currently have.

What kind of modifications have you made to your truck? I am assuming very few as your only getting 27 PSI.

Default Wastegate plugging

Thanks. I've installed
a Raptor fuel pump, full 4" exhaust, BHAF, and Hypertech Power Programmer. I have it set on stage 3.
