I just got back from deployment yesterday and my dodge wont start. My wife had been starting it one a week all of my deployment. She stopped however and the truck sat for about 2 months. Well, the batteries died. I try to jump it off and the truck turns over but doesnt fire.
I'm thinking that the batteries are so dead that they dont have enough juice to run the lift pump. I just dont understand how the truck turns over but the lift pump wont work. ANy advice is welcome!
Thanks!

lift pump runs via a signal from the ECM (most ECMs wont work w/less than 8 volts), the starter is hard wired. try turning the key to "on" then just bump the starter (dont crank) and listen for the pump it should run for several seconds. the truck may also have an air leak in the fuel system and will need to crank a while to fire. Also the grid heaters will need a LOT of juice to run, and they will try to cycle as soon as the key is on.
Get a good charge in the batteries before going crazy trying to start it.
