starter clicks

Default starter clicks
just rebuilt starter now when the engine is shut off the starter clicks. does anyone know why?

sounds to me like some wires could possibly be crossed or touching or not right we'll put it that way..

It clicks after the engine is shut off? For how long? 1 click, 10 click, never ending clicking? That's an interesting one for sure.

just one click and not every time. some times it won't do it for days???

Is it the solenoid or the plunger on the motor your hearing?
