Hey guys so here goes I dont have much info here its a friends truck, 99 completely stock noticed bad fuel mileage and loss of power, says it seems to be really wet on the air intake side likely oil any ideas where to start? I havent looked at it yet to see or even begin any ideas would be appreciated!

 

Maybe a blown turbo seal? Look inside the turbo and also check your return line that goes from the bottom of the turbo to the block.

 

sounds like a turbo seal to me too. and for the power maybe the turbo has too much shaft play and thats causing low boost from slop and also what took out the seal.

Turbo seal, could check oil filter seal too.

 

So have you found a verdict yet? If its your turbo seal. i got a used turbo if you interested.

 

nothing yet, talked to him last night now it wont shift out of 2nd he thinks, reverse is ok, wont shift into lower or higher gear though.... so starting on that one now
