Water leak after 24 valve rebuild
Have an '01 Dodge 24 valve 3/4 ton and rebuilt the engine at 221,000 miles. It ran fine for a day after it was all back together and running. After driving it 5 miles to the store it developed an antifreeze leak coming from the oil cooler. Couple of questions about it. Has anyone heard of replacement gaskets leaking? And is there anything specific such as silicone on the plate? Also I realized there is a gasket for the water inlet for the air conditioner bracket but used silicone on it, Is it possible that the leak is there? If anyone has advice or answers, thanks in advance.
