will vp44029x pump from freightliner work in 99 dodge vp44027x if yes or no what is difference?
any help greatly appreciated

 

I dont Know the anwser to that.I would call bosch and ask them what is the difference.If someone elses knows chime in.

 

Nope wont work that i know of. The timing is different and so are the emissions. If you need a pump let us know and we will get you some prices worked up.

Chrysler ISB engines are equipped with the Bosch® VP44 fuel pump. The VP44 fuel pump used for Chrysler ratings has a unique fueling map to obtain higher governed speeds. The Chrysler ISB injection pump is not interchangeable with other ISB fuel pumps. The VP44 is an electronically controlled rotary distributor fuel pump and is controlled by the Cummins ECM.
