Default no start or crank?

Today I went to start my truck after driving a short distance and I had to cycle the key twice to get it to crank, what would the problem be? It was like no crank the first two turns so I turned it off and back on and waited for the light again and it started first crank. Could it be that the temp was below 60 degrees? Its done it before but normally only in cold weather.

I'm thinking start circuit intermittent problem. Like a relay or perhaps the starter solenoid itself. Especially with the no crank part of the no start situation.

Hmmm this could be more work then I intended haha. Its hard to do something and know it solved the problem because it hardly happens, but when is does all I can do is curse and hope it'll start. Its happened maybe 3 times since I bought it, it did it the first two times within the same month but it hasn't for a few months and did it the other day. Atleast the clutch fix can be done for nearly free, the stater one is still cheap though.
