Could be you ac condenser, here is why: On the firewall behind the airbox, there is a short stubby tube coming through the firewall. Over time, the sealant around the tube shrinks allowing the condensed water to gurgle back through the fire wall and onto the carpet.
I put a piece of half inch hose on mine with a zip tie, Worked for me.
Just my opinion, your's may vary.
