Default In tank Pump?

is it possible to have a fass ddrp lift pump plus a in tank pump? how do you check if you have a in tank pump? Maybe thats why my fuel pressure is so high?

What is your pressure?

It could have an intank pump. How long have you owned the truck?

Check the left fender for a relay. From it there would be 2 wires running to the tank, and 2 more running to the engine harness for the lift pump power. The relay in my truck is mounted near the left hood hinge.

well the reason im asking is because my fuel pressure is 20 to 22 at idle.

ok i was looking under neath and i looked on top of the tank where the fuel lines go into the tank and on top you have your two fuel lines and the right beside it i seen some type of sensor right beside them and the wiring was going from the tank all the way to the motor? Is that just a sensor for the fuel level or what?

ok just looked some more there is some type of relay theat plugs in on top of the tank and it has 4 wires running out of it going all the way to the motor?

need some answers?

does your truck have a factory lift pump on the block? if that is gone then your truck has an in tank pump and your better off removing it and adding a sump to the system. You will already have the tank out.

is this how you bought the truck? seems like you have a very good possibility that it does have an in tank pump to get that much pressure out of a ddrp. We put a different spring in mine to make my fass make 20 and it does it idle through wot

i dont like my fuel pressure at 20 because when it gets their it starts having a little miss to it.

if i didnt want maybe if i have a in tank pump could i unplug the relay so the in tank pump wouldnt work if that is what it is ?

your ddrp will not be able to draw fuel through the in tank pump. your going to have to drop the tank and add a draw straw
