Default Possible rear main seal problem

ok guys to start i check the oil and other fluids in my pickup every 1000 miles i just checked it again today and it was down 3 quarts it usually takes a quart in between oil changes and for a while now ive notice fresh fluid at the bell housing im thinkin its the rear main seal i was wanderin if there was anyway of knowin for sure short of rippin the tranny out and all that good stuff thanks for readin

Manual or Auto trans? Either way there should be an inspection plate at the bottom of the bell housing. Have a look up there and you should be able to find out if the seal is leaking or not.
