Default Vp44 Question?

Is the vp44 pump just not made for chips or if you get a good lift pump that keeps 17 psi at all times. Can a vp44 last forever if you have a good lift pump or is the vp44 just cant handle a tapped pump for very long?

a vp will last plenty long if you supply it with the fuel it needs. if you dont on the other hand give it the fuel required for your setup then you will be replacing it more than any of us would like. looks like your doing ok if your psi is around ten at wot but once you get below that its probably time to upgrade to keep psi up. as is said all the time make sure you have a fuel pressure gauge if you dont already.

Ive seen stock pumps untapped last 150K+ Miles. Mine has 130K Tapped miles and its running fine. Some last and some do not. 9 times out of 10 if you give your VP44 a good supply of fuel it will last 100K+ miles.

well the bad thing about my fass ddrp is that it pushes 20 psi at idle and whenever it gets up to that psi my truck starts having a slight miss to it? what could this be?

mine lasted about 140,000 and probably still had some left but i decided to upgrade....i agree here. if you give it a good supply then it should last you for a hefty length of time...
