hey guys i got a 2001 dodge cummins and i wanted to no were the RPM pluge is and also it would be nice if i hade a pic of were it is

he wants to know where the tachometer gets its reading from.

The crankshaft position sensor is behind the starter, Cam position sensor is in the front cover behind the injection pump. Different year use one or both sensors, if there is no sensor behind the starter(crank sensor) it uses the Cam sensor for everything. Including engine speed and and cam position.
