was this an update or something? I think my juice will go over that. if you turn the backdowns off you should not have this problem correct?
It is a recent thing. I sent the Juice in for some warranty work, and when it came back I was limited to 1500 EGT. Before I could go over, both the limit and alert could go to 2000. My buddy has a Juice as well, his still has the older software in it. He can go over 1500 anytime.

ahh glad I have the old version then. so even if you turn backdowns off for x amount of time it will not go over 1500?

Not too sure about turning them off for a certain time. I don't think I have that option, mine WAS too safe. Now, EGT's peak at 1800 time to time, especially when then Ford meatheads wanna go.

Ya I know how that goes, I've held mine at 1500 coming up a hill or two pulling trailers making sure they were long gone. I dont understand why its such a low egt, i held it there for probably a good 5 minutes with letting off to take corners going up the hill and my water temp probably didnt change 5 degrees

1500 is not low you can start melting things, and it doesn't always cause issues with temp in the engine.

if you push enter twice on the monitor it should say disable back downs and a you can scroll up to add minutes. at least mine does

Really? When I press enter on mine in dimms the screen, or turns the display off. Is there a certian screen that you are at to disable the backdowns?

Yeah tap enter twice back to back quickly and the disable backdowns comes up and you can tinker with that.
