Can't remember who it was but someone had "Gas is for washin parts" in their sig on here. It really does a nice job though and as long as you let it air out awhile, hurts nothing.

You can use a degreaser fluid as well, we have done it at the shop too. A good few cups of degreaser, add a half gallon of water, and slosh it back and forth. Repeat until the water comes out clean.
