just wondering how much a diesel shop would charge to put head studs in???

you can do it on your own if you take the time to do it proper, I don't know what they charge as I had mine done while the head was off due to head gasket failure. Studded o-ringed and a new gasket and away I went.

 

You figure $450.00 for the studs,and about 3 hrs labor x that by there labor rate.Most shops dont want to just put studs in with out removing the head having it checked (decked,valves,springs,guides,etc.)Once they put there hands on it there liable.Put a price quote on here if you are going to do it your self you support the site and get good deals to.
