Default Need advice

I just bought my truck last week and I have a 4" straight pipe turbo back exhaust from farmboysdiesel.com. My question is I know I need gauges, but I dont know if I should actual gauges or maybe the edge/ attitude or quadrenalin. I also thought about just getting the fp gauge and then edge or adrenalin... This is my first diesel so any advice is welcome.

Thanks in advance!

Jeff,

Personally, I would get the gauges for your year of truck. I have basically the same truck, 2002 6spd and they are on the A Pillar.

I'd go with a smarty after that.

I have an 01 5spd went with a 5 inch mbrp, intake, i put gauges on the a pilar. also i would consider an Air Dog thats my next investment. I bought the quad adrenaline w/ pulse but my pump isnt supplying the amount of fuel it needs. Also with your auto tranny look into upgrading if you are considering pushing some serious power. enjoy the site and your truck

Well if you want to develop that list; there are many opinions about many things here on this and other sites.

Your truck will suffer from 2 major faults: the auto trans (specifically the TC) sucks and the lift pump (critical) are always a problem.

Anything you do to the truck should always be considered to have consequences elsewhere. You need fuel and air to make power but you have to keep the temp's in check as well.

I've had my FASS 150.150 on my truck now for 6+ years with absolutely no issue and it is what I would recommend looking into.
