24 valve stumbling

24 valve stumbling
I have a 01 24 valve and the problem is when I give it full throttle it seems to want to stumble like its lacking fuel. I already have a Fass 95 electronic fuel system, replaced the fuel filters and checked the check valve on the return line on the vp-44. I dont have a guage unfortunatly but, are looking on getting one. Any clues on what the stumbling can be coming from. The mechanic down here says he thinks its either the orffice tubes and o-rings, or a check valve somewhere....but what other check valves are ther in the fuel system?
Any info would be much appreciatted!!!

I forgot, also, can I put a mechanical fuel pressure guage from auto meter on this truck from Summit or do I have to have a special guage??

You don't need a special gauge but you will need a tapped banjo bolt and a pressure snubber to plumb into the fuel system either at the VP44 or at the fuel filter. There are plenty of older posts on how to hook the FP gauge up.
Sounds like a VP problem but its hard to eliminate things without first checking your fuel pressure and checking for any error codes. I'd start there and see what you get.
