Thanks for the info would you have to shorten the drive shaft on a nv5600 from 2001 or 2002

from what i was told you have to shorten the driveshaft no matter what because the nv5600 is a lot bigger than the auto. if you go with a nv4500 then the drive shaft needs lengthened

My buddy has a similar truck and did an auto to NV4500 swap and his driveshafts bolted right up. I think changing the computers would fix the problem but I would need computers out of a truck with the same options. I kinda like the push button start.

I think you can take it to a dealer and get it reflashed and that will fix it

I left the stock column and remove the auto. shifter. I got the plastic covers from a manual trans truck just need to install them. It dosent matter where you leave it ( P or N) because there is nothing for the computer to read.

Did you have to get a different transmission crossmember brace or will the current one work?

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

Would I still need to get the different T case input shaft for a 47re to nv4500 swap or does it only apply to a nv5600?
