Default Injector pump

Hey guys im new to diesel bombers. I have a 2001 dodge 3500. I think my vp 44 is going out. It threw a check engine light. The code was manufacturer controlled aux inputs an outputs. When i looked the code up for possible causes it said bad ecm connection, Failed injection pump module. I was wondering if the s.o pump is the way to go. I have herd to stay away from hot rod. Is there any other pumps out there to boost my power and still be able to drive and use my truck normally. Thanks guys

If you look through a few threads on here, this is the general consensus:

- HotRods, and other "High Performance" Pumps are not worth the cash.
- The SO is capable of making more power than the HO pump
- Some of the strongest trucks are running HO motors, and SO pumps.

About the best available pump would be the SO, The monster pumps add less reliability to an already unreliable pump.

If you search my user name for post, you can see some debates we've had regarding the issue!
