Long story short i'm starting to have some " Surging / Bucking " issues in my truck.

I've know these transmissions to have " Gov. Trans deucer & and pressure solenoid " issues

I an luck enough to be able to use a local transmisson shop's scan tool and got some info from the owner.


The Desired pressure was about 2X what the trans was actually putting out. Which he said indicated a bad solenoid setup in it.

But at the same time i pulled 3 codes,

P0500 Vehicle Speed Sensor Malfunction (Always had it, never goes away)

P0122 Throttle Position Sensor/Switch A Circuit Low Input

And one that is partially my fault cause i drove the truck some 75 miles with the fuel gauge on E

P0460 Fuel Level Sensor Circuit Malfunction (Scan tool said " No Change over long distance "


So i'm not sure where to go besides resetting the APPS sensor with the battery disconnect method


Any other ideas ? I'm about as broke as they come for now. so cheap cheap is my only option for now !

Check the Voltage on your APPS.

 

Sounds to me like the apps is needing replaced was just discussing this in another thread last night i orderd one this morn the run about 400$ through the stealer but there is a aftermarket one made by timbos apps run 160$ i feel your pain with the budget im in the same boat but tired of mine surgin. I have a 6spd in mine but i think seeing the tps low voltage code there is a open in the apps causing a drop in voltage and the puter isnt liking that so the motor surges and throws a code. This is the direction that im heading in replace the apps i will try to find the thread and post a link has all the guys order info and web site n stuff.

Go to rock auto for a air tex full apps bracket and sensor there under emishion controll and if you want to chance it blue chip for just the sensor i just got an air tex and its all good now as far as that goes
