I bet you couldn't find a second generation truck on the road with the factory manifold that isn't cracked. If your lookin at it while it's installed you can't see the bottom side which is the most common place to crack. You also can't see it while it's hot and under pressure. While it's cooled off and sittin there the cracks close up, but get it hot and it expands and then add the exhaust pressure to it and it opens those cracks up and that is where you get boost pressure leaks from.
Mine looked just fine till I pulled it off and turned it over and saw the gaps in the underside of it that weren't visible from the top.
