It seems that when I adjusted the APPS, the issue went away. Whether it is just a coincidence, I'll have to wait and see.

Ok, unlock/lock issue is back. I will have to try the noise filter I guess. Any other ideas guys?

I looked on the Suncoast site, but couldn't find the directions for the grounding of the apps wire to ground.

one of the guys thats in my local truck club had the exact same issue with his a couple months ago. we tried everything to fix it, he finally wrapped a piece of alluminum foil around the outside of a wire coming off the passenger side battery. it has something to do with electrical interference thats intermitant. ill call him and see if i can get a pic quick.

I just tightened the neg battery cables; they were a little loose, but we'll see.

okay try wrapping the black wire with the orange stripe coming off the back of the alternator. wrap the foil from the alternator to the plug on the fender well. do not touch the back of the alternator or the fender well, use electrical tape to hold in place.

Marine..... does it sound like the following:
Symptoms: At steady throttle usually at approx 40-50 MPH the tachometer will rise and fall approx 150-200 RPMS as the Torque Converter Clutch engages and dis-engages.

Problem: Electrical noise in the conducting wires running from the PCM (power train control module) to the TPS ( throttle position sensor).

That is the symptom. I tightened the neg battery cables (put another washer on the post clamp) and tightened it down. It seems to have went away. I will check out your link too.
