that what im saying im trying to find out what his hard start is from is it his vp going bad or is it just hard start.. we have the fuel set at 18 psi wot..

You can use a hobbs switch to bring the pump on when oil pressure comes up, also the factory PCM connection if wired to a relay will prevent the pump from running during startup

I'd say pull the superchips off and see if that make's a difference. I'll bet you are getting to much timing. A buddy of mine has a p-pump 24v that is set very aggressive on the timing and it doesn't start very good, has to crank on it for a bit, but once it is started it runs great. Just take a few minutes and pull the superchips and see what that does. Probably the cheapest fix if that's it, then buy a smarty to stack and set it with no timing.

thanks alot... does anyone have a smarty for a 01 at a decent price.. also is anyone looking for superchips... if he ends up getting smarty he will have to sell superchips..

For the 01 I would recommend a Quadzilla Adrenaline, Edge Comp or Edge Juice with Attitude.

really? beside what this guys says my buddy ran a relay to his airdog with a switch in the cab that drops the pressure and his truck cranks fine this guy is kinda off back when i had a vp i wanted all the pressure i could get its a sick feeling when your racing and drain a vp you want all the pressure you can get or else keep a 3/4 in your door pannel you drain em then you buy them real talk

Oh really? Thats why I made 839 1500 + on a 2 dyno jets and 2 mustangs ALL SET AT 15LBS of fuel pressure?
