Default Oil Pressure Problems, Or Not

I don't know the answer to this. It's been a long, not so smooth day so far. I rebuilt the vaccuum Pump through a lot of the day and now my oil pressure is different then it has been and I'm paranoid. In the past it stayed at 40psi no matter what. After the rebuild it is 50-60psi at idle and goes up to 80psi or so when I run the RPM's up. Haven't had it on the road yet. This thing has been leaking for years so for all I know this may be normal pressure, but the way this day has gone I'm not bettin on it. So I need some opinions and advice here. or

tap that 1/8 npt plug in the finished side (TOP) of the oil filter head with a new greasegun hose and run a mechanical gauge...................I think you will need aslo a 45** male to female to make it work
