Poor mileage
2001 ,34,000 miles 11mpg WTF there is a little TLC problem.Love the new truck BUT 11mpg with a load of 3,500 lbs.The first thing would be a breakin it in at 11 mpg, what gears are in the truck if they are 4.10s there is one issuse. I myself has a 2001 with 4.10 and it sucks for mpg on around town at the best of 19 mpg with 74,000 on it .I would start with a total fluid change in the whole truck.4.10 are the devil

First things first and i see no one asked.
How did you check your mileage? The over head is never correct. You need to hand calculate your mileage. Also if you have other than stock tire size that will screw up your speedo and odometer.
But as said above, give it a good once over. Fuel filter, air filter & check your fuel pressure.
